My name is Shannon. I live in Seattle, Washington. I was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, one of the most diverse and beautiful places in the world. I picked up a digital camera for the very first time in 2009 while living in the Napa Valley and the heart of northern California wine country. I found an instant love of photography and haven't been able to put my camera down since then. I am not a formally educated photographer, I have taught myself with the trial and error of experience, evolving in technique and style with every click of the shutter button. My choice of subject ranges widely, determined mainly in the spur of the moment. I feel most at home amid the hustle and bustle of city life, taking in the people, events, and skylines that create the magic of the concrete jungle. However, I also find great peace and much inspiration everywhere from sun drenched beaches to majestic groves of ancient redwoods; overgrown, forgotten cemeteries to the glistening steel of railroad tracks, and all locales in between. I take as much joy in capturing great moments as I do in the adventures that take me there to photograph them.
