Dance
Members of the FCG learn a foundation of dance skills in ballet, modern, and contemporary! No previous experience is required as all members learn from the same foundational approach. Members learn to move, strengthen their body, and gain flexibility!
Music
The Color Guard performs in the Fall with the Forney Marching Band at all football games and in indoor competition in the Spring. Guard members learn how to feel and interpret music through visual movement.

The most important part of being a member of the guard - PERFORMANCE! Guard members get to perform in front of thousands of spectactors a year in competitions, performances, and shows!
About Us
Members of the Color Guard are dedicated, hard working students who have a passion for art, dance, music, performance, and creativity!
The Color Guard competes in the Fall with the High School Marching Band. This includes marching competitions, UIL, and all football games. The FCG is a fierce competitor in the marching arena, receiving numerous awards and always supporting the band. As part of the band program, members of the guard and band make up one of the largest activities in Forney.
In the Spring, indoor competition begins! The team learns a highly specialized, highly competitive routine that they compete with at a state and national level.
The FCG has branched off in recent years to add on Warren Middle School as part of it's team. At the middle school level, the "Warren Cadets" perform in Spring competition traveling to numerous contests with the high school teams.

Warren Middle School
Casey Snead has been the Color Guard Director for Forney High School from the Fall of 2007 to present. With full support from the band program, he is quickly making the color guard a state recognized competitor on and off the field.
Having taught for some incredible programs in the DFW area, Mr. Snead continues to teach color guard and considers it a lifelong passion. He attends college working towards his BA in Education and spends countless hours designing, choreographing, and dancing to further his skills.
Mr. Snead's performing experience includes Ars Nova Winterguard, Black Gold Winterguard, the Bluecoats, and the Cavaliers.
