About John F. Anderson wanted to be a pilot as long as he can remember. He began his journey of flight in 1984 at Hartford-Brainard Airport, Hartford, CT. In the Fall of 1986, after graduating from Eastern CT State University, Anderson started his professional pilot training. He has since earned his Commercial pilot license, Multi-engine, Airline Transport Pilot license, Certified Flight Instructor - Instrument, Commercial Seaplane License.
I am dedicated to teaching and training individuals how to become safe and proficient pilots. I have enjoyed gaining experience and passing my knowledge on to my students. I take great pride in my teaching. It is my ultimate goal to give the highest quality of instruction to each one of my students. I will do my very best to teach and train you to become the safest pilot you can possibly be.
Learning to fly is an ongoing process. I am constantly learning new techniques and facts from various resources and even my students. If one does not keep up with the frequently changing environment and technology, they will be left behind.
The Federal Aviation Administation (FAA) honored John Anderson with two awards in 2007. He was presented with the Portland FSDO FAASTeam Representative of the Year 2007. He then moved into competition for a Regional award. Anderson was honored with being named as Eastern Region (including 14 states) FAASTeam Representative of the Year 2007.
