An old woman daily wanders aimlessly around our neighborhood. Not a week goes by that she doesn't end up in the back of an ambulance with yet another painful injury. After weeks of noticing her, no family or friends have visited or checked up on her.
A few days ago my husband and I left a basket of flowers with a note on her porch letting her know if she needed anything, we were here. We have since began a relationship.

THE PROJECT
OUR work TEAM
Working hard to keep up with the material demands of a world on a crack budget was never my idea of a good time. Spend, spend, spend is the name of the game and if you can't keep up you can get out of their way.
America has a nasty habit of being over spenders and credit whores and I was the pimp. One day I realized no matter how much money I was making it would disappear completely to random and miscellaneous stuff. I'd find myself in debt up to my eye balls and I'd never have money left at the end of the month to take care of my basic needs.
So I started living on five dollars a day to see if it was possible to control my spending and survive off less than most Americans. It worked. My first week I spent a total of $33.07 which means I spent less than $5 a day on living.
After the first week it hit me that if I can do this, I could probably match what I live off and give it to someone in need. That's when AMERICANFIVE came to life!
Asher spends the majority of his time calculating. He thinks in numbers and when he started the AMERICANFIVE project he found his sweet spot for budget control and giving!
Ashley is one of those people you meet and she exudes intellect and genuine energy. Words, words, and more words are what define her so well and she writes for the website and blog.
Shannon is a special one. She can literally do anything and her food is to die for. She hosts the recipe section and helps with several other things.
