"Am I pleased to see you, or did I just put a canoe in my pocket?"
Welcome to the online home of Flashheart - GBR 1479R, currently owned by Tom Bailey & Mike Webb.
In 2010 we acquired the quarter tonner 'Wild Bean' which had been sat in a friends garden for quite some time. The boat was designed by Ed Dubois and built in Jersey in 1979 and is known as a Starflash. She was in need of some work, that's for sure but it was a project that we really wanted to take on. Please use the menu above to learn more about the refit, the crew and some pictures of her in her new revived glory.
Credits to Jim & George Webb of Casse Tete Marine for making this project possible

The Rebuild
The rebuild for Flashheart really began in Spring 2010 when we rescued her from a friends garden. Although she was in urgent need of major work we decided that we would get her ready to sail the Quarter Ton Cup 2010 to see how she fared on the water and then proceed with the major works in the Autumn / Winter of that year.
This page contains images from where she was found, her temporary refit for the QTC through to her major refit in the winter.
We have also created a little YouTube video to show some of the work involved in making her what she is today.
