Got a new iPad or Macbook? A new e-mail scam is out to get your billing info
Intego, an anti-virus software company focused on Macs, warns new Macbook and iPad users to watch out for a phishing scam targeting new Apple users. Cyber criminals are now sending an official looking e-mail asking Apple users to update their billing information. The e-mail looks legitimate, and has elements taken directly from Apple’s website. These include shadowing, logo and copyright information.
A link at the bottom, which poses as “http://store.apple.com,” is actually a link out to the cyber criminal’s servers, starting with an IP address.

Viewers were asked to vote which news event they felt was the most important in 2011. Bin Laden’s death carried off 31% of the votes, the tsunami in Japan received 15%, and the Debt Ceiling Crisis and Arab Spring impressed only one out of ten voters.
