Niche marketing is a hot topic right now. A niche is a targeted market that focuses on one particular product, as opposed to a general market that has a broad range of products. It is important to find your niche so that you can focus your efforts and spend your marketing dollars effectively.

By focusing on a particular niche, you will be able to spend less money and make more revenue since your marketing efforts will be funneled to one area and not spread out over the entire spectrum of products. You can devote your entire Flash website to your niche to get maximum benefit from it. What your niche is will depend on your talents and interests. Anything that you are interested in or talented at can become a niche. There is really no limit to the amount of niches available to you and more of them are being created everyday.

How to Find Your Niche

To find your niche, start with general terms. Do you have an interest in clothing? Perhaps you can sew and want to design your own line of clothing and apparel. Instead of starting with a whole line of clothing, you may want to narrow it down a bit. So your general category is clothing. From there, you can narrow it down to children’s clothing. Now go even further and narrow it to girls clothing. You can go even further to girl’s party dresses. Now you have a niche market. You can do this with any category. Start with a general subject and make a list that narrows it down until you arrive at one specific product category or one product. Now you are ready to make your own website and start your niche business.

Find Your Niche Keywords

Now that you have identified the niche you want, you will need to do some keyword research so that you can target the right market and make your website a useful and profitable tool. Once again, start with general keywords and make a master list. Keep adding to your list, thinking of creative ways that people would search for your products and website. Once you have a master list go to a keyword tool such as Google External Adwords and WordStream and enter your list one-by-one. You will receive a list of related keywords and how well they are projected to perform based on recent searches.

As you go through this list of keywords, you will discover new ones that you can use. Keep adding and subtracting to your list according to the results you find on the keyword tools. Don’t limit yourself to positive keywords. Knowing which ones to avoid is just as important. That way you don’t include keywords that have no power in your website and marketing efforts. Use variations of your keywords, plurals, spelling variations, and so on to get the best list you can.

Niche Marketing Tips for Your Flash Website

Once you have your niche and have built a website that is rich in keywords and placed it properly, your next step is niche marketing. The keywords you used on your website can also be used on your marketing efforts. There are several ways to create a marking campaign. E-mail, newsletters, PPC ads, Facebook, and Twitter all present opportunities to market your niche. If you are not familiar with marketing techniques, you may want to hire someone to help you develop an effective marketing campaign. You will want to target people who would be interested in your products, such as parents of young girls, Latina girls preparing for their Quinceañera (15th birthday), and girls how will have their Sweet 16 soon. You can also market brides for flower girls and high school age girls and their parents for prom. Use your imagination and think outside of the box. E-mail lists may be expensive but, if they target the right marketing niche, it is money well spent.

Niche marketing not only can make you money but it is a way to rise in search engines results pages. A niche will have less competition and you will be found much easier. People who are interested in your products are already sold on the idea of buying them; you just need to show why your products are better than your competitors’. With niche marketing, you can spend your dollars wisely and make a better profit than if you were to offer a wide variety of products. Also, you can set up several websites and target more than one niche. Branch out into girl’s playwear or boy’s suits; use your imagination and check out trends. With a well-designed Flash website and niche marketing, you can start to earn some serious cash if you do your homework and market research.
