Rathlahine Trout Angling was first established in 1996. The fifteen acre natural lake that holds four 17ft rowing boats is constantly supported with fresh water from the inlets and outlets found around its perimeter. The lake is part of the Rosroe Lake and is stocked on a monthly basis during peak season with 2 year old rainbow trout. They vary in size from 1/2 lb to 14lb which was caught in 2006. With natural feeding in the lake, it ensures that fish will develop to their maximum capacity .The lake has always been renowned by its regulars for its crystal clear waters, morning and evening fly hatches as well as a relaxing experience in the lakes calm waters.
Crusheen Lake
Since establishing in 1996, we have developed an ethos, a set of gentleman like rules that we expect our anglers to adhere to. Safety is of upmost importance and the life saving equipment supplied should be worn at all times. Fly fishing is the primary style of fishing encouraged on the lake and the use of live bait is absolutely prohibited. A catch and release system is desired but a bag limit of 2 fish per angler applies. Fish less than 1lb are requested to be returned to the water in the interest of fish growth and other anglers. We are here to make every anglers experience with us a good one, and adherence to our ethos is the best for everybody involved.
