Do parents go to the scrimmage at MSU? What is it like?
Answer: It is three hours of activity for the guys. Not much for the parents to watch. Coaches divide the teams into three groups by weight classes and then one group wrestles 6 min matches with an apponent from another school, the second group is doing sprint/ run work upstairs and the 3rd group is preparing to wrestle.Then
we rotate the groups, getting everyone on the mat for 6 minute
about 5 times. Not much sitting room. Last year it was 4 teams on 2 and 1/2 mats.

Information on tournaments will be available at practices
March 10th - BIG HOME tournament for freestyle. We will need
parents to help with this tournament. Proceeds made at
this event will go back into the WOW program to get the
things we need to make this program successful in the
future. You do not need to be knowledgeable to in
freestyle to help out.
May 11, 12, 13 Michigan USA will be holding the State tournament
here in Fowlerville. Will also need your help for this.
Last year WOW had team members on the National Schoolboy team, the Cadet National team, the Junior National team, and two different world teams.
We hope to have some world class coaches in to some of our practices. You as a member of the WOW club will be the FIRST to know when they are coming in.
Cost: $30 for phase 1 and 2, or $50 for all three phases or
$5 per practice --- can be financed by working our HOME tournaments.
