Fernando Pareta is guitarist and singer. He began his solo project in 1999, with his band Fernando Pareta Trío, with his father Oscar Horacio Pareta on bass, who is still on his band.
His first CD Fernando Pareta Trío, was release in 2003 and participated of international samplers, The loner-Tribute to Jeff Beck and Get Jazzed of German..s label ESC Records. Since 2004 he has been invited to the Jemfest festival in United States, organized by the foundation "Make a noise foundation", of the famous and admired guitarist Steve Vai.
He was born in October 16 1979 in Buenos Aires, Argentina. He grew up in direct contact with music, listening tango chords from his grandfather Oscar..s bandoneon. With 9 yeards old he began study guitar in "Walter Malossetti..s conservatory, taking lessons years later with Jorge García, Ariel Pozzo, Pino Marrone, Sid Jacobs and Carl Verheyen. From 1999 Fernando Pareta Trío played in numerous pubs and theaters of Argentina like La Trastienda, Notorious, el Hard Rock Café, Oliverio, La Caverna, and many more. He also gaveinterviews and live shows in radio and tv programs.
In 2003 he released his first solo CD "Fernando Pareta Trio", with original instrumental music mixing rock, blues, funk and some covers. The quality of his music allowed him to be invited one year after to the Jemfest festival in Florida, United States, organized to collect funds for the foundation "Make a noise foundation", of the famous guitarist Steve Vai sharing the stage with artists like Rob Balducci, Eric Sands, Mike Martín, German Schauss. Fernando Pareta is invited yearly to the event from 2005 to 2008 year he had the honor of being the headliner of the concert . On June 18 2010, he played again headlining one of the two shows for the 10th anniversary of this important event, with presence of Steve VAI.
In 2005, the German..s record label ESC RECORDS included his version of Brush with the blues, in the compilated The loner-Tribute to Jeff Beck sharing the work with Top artists like Scott Henderson, Greg Howe,Richie Kotzen, Steve Lukather, Brett Garsed, John Novello, David Fiuczynski, Billy Sheehan, Gary Willis, Kirk Covington, Dennis Chamber, Vinnie Colaiuta, Virgil Donati y Derek Sherinian. The same version integrated the CD Get Jazzed of the same label, with Randy y Michael Brecker, David Sanborn, Lincoln Goines, Scott Henderson, Simon Phillips, John Humprey, John Scofield, Armand Sabal-Lecco, Frank Gambale, Billy Cobham, Michael Landau, Vinnie Colaiuta, Marcus Miller, John Patitucci and others. Both cds were release in great quantity of countries and obtaining excellent reviews of the international press.
Fernando Pareta has endorsements with important gear companies like Suhr guitars, Bogner amps, Xotic Effects, T-rex pedals, Wampler pedals, THD electronics, Evidence Cables , tremol-no and many others.
In 2009 he released his last word in studio called Complicado, a perfect mix between blues, jazz, rock and funk, with Oscar Pareta in bass, Jota Morelli in drums and Fernando Monteleone on keyboards. He was invited several times (2008-2009-2010) to the most important convention in the music industry, The Namm show (Anaheim, Ca, Usa) by his endorsements, to perform on their booths.
In July 2010 he was on of 14 guitarists that partipated in the event Guitar experience in IFT Theater, sharing the stage with some of the most importants artists of Brasil and Argentina.
Actually he is playing the guitar in AlmaZen, band integrated by Daniel Colombres in drums, Federico Boaglio in bass, Carlos Fandrich in keyboards and Jeronimo Verdun in vocals, and giving clinics and shows with his Trio.
In July 2011 Fernando signed a distribution deal with Digital Nations (Steve Vai´s label) . DN will make his music available world wide through them.
