Fernando Jose Mendoza Requena, originar din Peru, a venit pentru prima oara in Romania in anul 2007. Interpreta atunci piese de pe albumele "The Eagle Spirit", "Orjo Illay", "Brothers", "Wayra" si "Yuraj Anka", o muzica instrumentala si vocal instrumentala, cu sonoritati ambientale, o fuziune intre ritmurile traditionale amerindiene si muzica moderna. Pentru toti cei care au avut ocazia sa-l asculte atunci, a fost mai mult decat un simplu spectacol de strada, a fost inceputul unei calatorii de suflet alaturi de un artist care, prin muzica lui, reuseste sa aduca pamantul mai aproape de cer..."Wawa Killa" a fost primul album pe care artistul l-a lansat in Romania, in anul 2008. Acesta contine si o piesa cu titlul in limba romana: "Unirea", un aranjament instrumental de o mare finete si sensibilitate, amintind de acea unitate magica a tuturor lucrurilor, de acele resorturi sufletesti care ne indeamna sa cautam sa aflam mai mult despre ceea ce ne apropie unii de altii si mai putin despre ceea ce ne desparte. Tot in spiritul acestei cautari, artistul si-a largit repertoriul pentru a se apropia mai mult de cultura publicului in fata caruia evolua: asa s-a nascut "Soy tu corazon", un album care marcheaza trecerea spre ritmurile latino-americane. Piesele s-au bucurat de un mare succes, iar anul in care au fost lansate a marcat si un alt gen de perceptie si de comunicare cu publicul. Daca pana atunci artistul a fost privit cu fascinatie si asociat unei culturi vaste si indepartate - o cultura invaluita in mister si aproape intangibila prin inaltimile care o descriau, la propriu si la figurat - incepand cu urmatoarele albume, "Tu y yo” si "El arbolito”, si continuand cu seria "America Latina”, Fernando Jose ne-a invitat pe ringul de dans, pentru a redescoperi pasiunea, vigoarea, senzualitatea, rafinamentul si eleganta caracteristice muzicii latino. Salsa, rumba, bachata, cumbia, cha-cha-cha sau merengue capata o stralucire si o prospetime fascinanta in interpretarea artistului, care se remarca nu doar printr-un registru vocal extrem de nuantat, ci si printr-o prezenta tonica, exuberanta, capabila sa electrizeze si cel mai exigent public! Albumele "Cantando en los Andes” si "Etnico” reprezinta reintoarcerea la folclorul tarilor andine, fie in forma sa autentica, fie ca suport al unui aranjament muzical inedit, prin fuziunea cu ritmuri orientale. Albumul "Etnico” ne poarta si prin spatiul european si prin istoria acestuia, prin intermediul a trei piese de factura medievala, piese carora Fernando Jose le imprima o vioiciune aparte, gratie unui aranjament special, realizat cu instrumente muzicale andine. Fernando Jose Mendoza Requena, born in Peru, came in Romania for the first time in 2007. Then, he used to sing and play songs from the albums "The Eagle Spirit", "Orjo Illay", "Brothers", "Wayra" and "Yuraj Anka" – instrumental and vocal-instrumental music with an environmental sound, a fusion between American-Indian traditional rhythms and modern music. For everyone who had the chance to listen to him then, this was more than a street show – it was the beginning of a soul journey together with an artist who, through his music, brings the earth closer to the sky..."Wawa Killa" was the first album launched by the artist in Romania in 2008. This also contains a song with the title in Romanian: "Unirea", an instrumental arrangement extremely refined and sensitive, which remembers us of that magic unity of all things, of those soul drives that encourage us to keep searching and finding out more about what brings us together and less about what separates us. In the spirit of the same pursuit, the artist's repertory became larger, so that the artist came closer to the culture specific to the public he plays and sings for: this is how "Soy tu corazon" album was born, showing the transition to the Latin-American rhythms.The songs were very successful and their launching year has also marked another level of perception and communication with the public. While the artist has been looked at with fascination and considered a part of a vast and far culture till then – a culture folded in mystery and almost intangible because of its heights, both in a figural and literal sense – starting with the subsequent albums, "Tu y yo" and "El arbolito" and going forward with "America Latina" series, Fernando Jose has invited us on the dance floor, giving us the chance to rediscover passion, vigor, sensuality, refinement and elegance specific to Latin music. Salsa, rumba, bachata, cumbia, cha-cha-cha or merengue call forth a fascinating brightness and freshness as enacted by the artist, who distinguishes not only by a very nuanced timbre, but also by a tonic, exuberant presence that is able to electrify the most exigent public!The albums "Cantando en los Andes" and "Etnico" means a return to the folklore of Andean countries, either in its authentic form or as a support for a music arrangement inedited because of the fusion with Oriental rhythms. The album "Etnico" also takes us to the European space and its history, by means of three songs of a medieval nature in which Fernando Jose leavens a great aliveness thanks to a special arrangement made with Andean musical instruments.
