Dear associates, members and colleagues
As you might know, our Association will be commemorating its first anniversary by the summer of 2012.
To celebrate it, WOKKA will organize its first International Seminar of Karate and Kobudo to be held in Okinawa from the 24th to 26th of August 2012.
During the event, several panels will be constituted for an exchange of knowledge and experiences and for the practicing of adequate techniques.
Beside our Hanshi Nakamoto Kiichi 10th Dan, the various panels will be leaded by one 9th Dan (Hideyuki Nakamoto), four 8th Dans (Masanori Zaha, Jaime Pereira, Kazuhiro Hokama and Toru Nakamoto) and several 7th Dan assistants.
At the very last day, a kata competition opened to all will take place as well.
For that purpose, Hanshi Nakamoto has already booked a gymnasium in Okinawa City (Koza Sports Park) and has established several contacts with three different types of hotel, each one with different kind of offers and fees, in order to accommodate your specific lodging requirements.
The deadline for the submission of applications is the end of February and we kindly request all participants to take into consideration the necessity of complying with the timelines.
Participation fee is 10.000 yens (128.00 USD, 98.00 EUR) for WOKKA members and 15.000 yens (192.00 USD, 147.00 EUR) for non-members. Extra classes at Hanshi Nakamoto Hombu Dojo are included (only for members).
We are certain that this event will constitute a unique and extraordinary opportunity for all participants, not only to learn and feel the true spirit of martial arts but also to visit Okinawa Island and meet its culture, values and traditions.
Looking forward to meeting you there,
Best regards,
