Home of the Five Senses Spa Treatments
Loyd uses his teaching and business background to aid his wife, Monique, with the operations of the business. However, it is Monique that is the driving force behind the companies continued growth pattern. When Monique began managing the local Omni Hotel account in Corpus Christi, the sales were only average by today's standards. Within three months, Monique had changed the staff from a non-marketing staff, to a team concept, that trained itself to market by movement. This concept is one that is primarily used today to generate the maximum amount of sales while maintaining the highest standards in customer service. Monique had always been an entrepreneur. She had the first "Nails on Wheels", company that was a mobile company that actually came to your home or business for nail and pedicure procedures. One of her most successful endeavors was a mail order cookie company called "Sister Cookies". With twelve main recipes, Monique shipped cookies around the world and continues to have customers ask her for special orders!
The owners of Body-n-Balance have developed a remarkable company that began in 1994 in Dallas, Texas. First started as an independent contractor company and devoted to pain management, Loyd and Monique Wellesley began the process of expanding into other massage fields. First, Loyd began teaching massage across the State of Texas, and both he and his wife, Monique maintained a private client base. Both husband and wife have extensive backgrounds into advanced modalities and the publishing of curriculum used by many schools within the State. They have produced workshops with the interesting topics of Trigger Point, Reflexology, Prenatal, Postnatal, Deep Tissue, Myofacial, Hot Stone, Facial Massage, Chair Massage, Elderly Care, Infant Massage, and many others. Both Loyd and Monique attribute the success of their company to the knowledge they have gained over the years and utilized within the wonderful world of the Hotel Spa.
Monique graduated with honors from Texas A&M University in December of 2008. Her degree plan in marketing and communication fits exactly within her talents for generating and maintaining success within her business. Besides holding many degrees in the Spa industry, Monique believes without doubt that success in any business depends on customer service. Her exact quote is " Today's market will depend on employers that hire the best, train the best, and do the simple things for the customer, that many have forgotten." Monique reminds us that the customer really is King, that the customer wants to feel important and cared for. If it is not in your heart to make these things happen, then a business will suffer and so will the customer. In practice Monique trains her staff to become servants to all who enter the various Spa environments she manages. Until you become a true "giver", you will never fully become a servant to your customers. Her mission statement pretty much says it all. You really do have to offer something that money can not buy. You have to offer the best in session quality, and the best in personal care for all clients.
