Mission Possible Adopt a Fire Station
As we remember the 10th anniversary of 9/11 we honor our local firefighters. This year our Mission Possible is adopting a local fire station. We will take the year to say thank you and celebrate our local hereoes.

This month as we study Space and planets we are taking a field trip to the Discovery Space Museum Planetarium. We will learn about the stars and planets and see them as the actually are in the night sky!

Policies
Snack Policy
Each morning before recess, students will be given opportunity to eat snacks from their lunches. Each student will need to bring his or her own snack each morning. Please be sure to include in your student's lunch a healthy snack that he or she can eat at snack time.
Behavior Plan
Students begin each day with a green card with a star. At the end of the day, the color of each student's card will be noted on his or her take-home folder.
A green card with a star = excellent behavior; earns a soaring point and green card treat
A plain green card = good behavior; earns a green card treat
A yellow card = a warning
A blue card = head down at desk
An orange card = head down during recess
A red card = go to principal's office

Mrs. Christy Jones has been in education for almost twenty years. Her experience has included being a children’s church director, camp speaker, day camp director, a teacher and a mom. She has been working at FCS for eighteen years. She loves kids and has a passion for learning. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood Education and is currently working on her Masters in Education specializing in Best Practices.
Mrs. Jones has been married for seventeen years to her best friend, a wonderful husband and fabulous father! She has two boys ages six and four. They love being together and playing together. You can find them riding bikes, swimming, singing to Jesus, reading books or going to the beach. Mr. and Mrs. Jones also love to race in sprint triathlons.
Mrs. Jones loves teaching kindergarten and helping kids explore new ideas through hands-on, imaginative learning. Her classroom is full of creativity, technology, and the latest hands-on teaching techniques to inspire children to understanding and to foster a love for learning. Children can enter her class barley knowing the ABC’s and be phonetically reading by January. She enjoys watching kids be like sponges in her class and soak up reading, math, science and more.
She loves Jesus, is a Bible scholar and loves to inspire children to serve God through singing at worship time, creative Bible lessons, serving others and giving your best to your academics.
