Eric Petersen Bio
Born and raised in the Chicago Suburbs, Eric lived most of his life in Carol Stream, IL. He attended Bradley University in Peoria, IL and graduated with a B.S. in Theatre Performance. Eric then took a job at The Barn Theatre in Augusta, MI where he met his now-wife Lisa Marie Morabito. The two of them started dating and moved to New York City together. They got married in October 2007 and now live in Hell's Kitchen, NYC.
Eric has worked extensively in NYC. He got his start with Theatreworks USA, and has since done over 6 productions and workshops for them. Eric also does a lot of work with young writers and has been a part of many workshops and readings. He works as a reader for Tara Rubin Casting and Theatreworks USA. His first big break came when he was cast by James Lapine in the 1st National Tour of "The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee" as William Barfee. He toured the country to great reviews and even played the part in the first subsequent regional production at Barrington Stage/North Shore Music Theatre.
Most recently, Eric has broken in to the TV world with a 2 episode arc on the CBS soap "As The World Turns" and the Comedy Central pilot "Evan & Gareth Trying To Get Laid". In the Comedy Central pilot, Eric was cast as Hank, and was contracted as a series regular! Sadly, the pilot did not make it to air, but you can see clips in the videos section.
Eric is staying very busy in NY and hopes you get to see more of his work very soon!
