BIO

About Me

I am a senior BFA Acting Major and History Minor approaching graduation from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC). My previous roles at UMBC include Marie Romanov in OTMA, Helen McCormick in The Cripple of Inishmaan, and Daysi in The Winged Man. I was also a part of the Department of Theatres Grrl Parts Festival in which commissioned new plays feature women as the protagonists and antagonists. My roles were Emily in the US premiere of What is the Custom of Your Grief? by Timberlake Wertenbaker and Molly in the world premiere of Runaways by Ellen McLaughlin. I have also worked as an assistant teaching artist for Bay Theatre Company and the Upper Chesapeake Summer Center for the Arts. My work as an assistant teaching artist at Bay Theatre Company was part of a summer internship and was composed of week long workshops for teenagers 12-16 years old. The Upper Chesapeake Summer Center for the Arts is an eight-day residential program that provides comprehensive curricula for 7th-12th graders gifted in a span of artistic disciplines. As the teachers assistant for theatre I helped lead warm-ups and games, provided constructive critiques of students audition monologues, and directed two students in a one act. After graduation I hope to continue performing onstage as an actor in the Baltimore and D.C. area.

Latest News: I have been nominated for the Irene Ryan Acting Scholarship and will be attending the Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival in January along with my scene partner Brad Widener , and fellow candidates Brandi Sheppard, Anderson Wells, and Jessie Poole as well as their partners Samrawit Belai and Brady Whealton. Acting has been an exciting process of discovery about human behavior. I aspire to create theatre that explores the human condition, our potential, and what we are capable of. Working with a sense of purpose in a generous and collaborative environment produces work that is truthful and inspiring to me.
