Ergo-Online, LLC was founded in 1998 as a way to promote ergonomic educational resources to healthcare professionals. Since that time, the organization has expanded its scope to include engineering, healthcare, and human factors professionals wishing to pursue certification in ergonomics and preparation for BCPE certification.

We are the only organization that provides seminar and web-based preparation courses for the BCPE certification credentials. If you are a professional looking to improve your chances of passing the BCPE certification exam, we know we can help. This saves you time, stress, and expense. Our courses and mentoring programs are designed to improve confidence, and provide you with a focused format to devote your time to study and resource review. However, what separates Ergo-Online from other web-based training is the one-on-one mentoring that we provide our participants.

If you are an employer or a line supervisor looking for a way to make ergonomics a reality in your facility, we can provide training and bring specific staff up to speed to make them better assets for improvement as well as cost savings.

We offer three certification courses unrelated to the BCPE exam. These certifications are for companies looking to bring the best ergonomics into the day-to-day operations. We offer: Certified Ergonomics Technologist (CETT), Certified Ergonomics Team Leader (CETL), and Certified Industrial Ergonomics Practitioner (CIEP).

We have documented results of our participants successfully passing the CEA and CPE examinations since 1998.

We do not teach the test or the test questions; we focus on making sure participants understand the logic and thought processes related to becoming a certified ergonomist. Don’t accept the current 25% CEA pass rate of first time exam. Join those who have worked with us, to achieve a 98% pass rate on their first attempt taking the exam. Our success has also been demonstrated with AEPs and CPEs first- time exam participants.

Ergo-Online Academy is the function-based web system for managing and organizing our courses.Each individual who registers for our online course or takes the seminar-based BCPE Prep course will be given a username and password to access the modules within the instructional course.If you sign up for one of our other certifications, you will be provided a unique user logon so that you will be able to complete the other certificaton courses we provide.If you have ended up on this page looking for the Academy login....look no further. Click the ENTER ACADEMY button to the right and you will be whisked away to the Login page.Our course are NATABOC qualified for continuing education and can be used for BCPE CoC (Certificate of Completion) credentialing.Q: When and how often must I complete a CoC Worksheet?A: Your CoC schedule depends upon when you were first granted your BCPE certification. In general, all certificate holders must complete and receive approval for a CoC Worksheet every five years.If you were certified:On or before 1 July 2005:You may submit your completed CoC Worksheet any time between 1 July 2005 and 29 June 2010. After 1 July 2005:You must submit your form no later than five years after the date you were granted your certification. You may submit your form as soon as you accumulate enough points, or you can wait until the end of your five-year period. You are required to submit and receive approval for a CoC Worksheet every five years thereafter.To continue certification, a total of 100 points must be accumulated in a minimum of two categories over a 5-year reporting period.

He provides expert witness services in the areas of biomechanics, ergonomics and human factors and has developed numerous web-based and corporate ergonomic programs. Mark has also developed and instructs a preparation course for individuals pursuing certification by the Board of Certified Professional Ergonomists (BCPE). His experience spans over 15 years and his specialties include ergonomics, biomechanics, human factors, functional capacity evaluation and work physiology. Mark is certified by the Board of Certified Professional Ergonomists as a Certified Ergonomist / Human Factors Professional and holds an additional certification by the American College of Sports Medicine. Mr. Heidebrecht has developed numerous ergonomic educational products and training modules including the development of ergonomic analysis software and motion analysis equipment. Mr. Heidebrechts client base includes private industry as well as the federal government. His work experience includes solutions for such industries as apparel manufacturing, public accounting, card/paper manufacturing, shipping/cargo, meat and food processing, pharmaceuticals, automobile / tractor trailer manufacturing, aerospace, insurance, and private hospitals. Mr. Heidebrecht developed and implemented the Ergonomic Risk Reduction Process for the Customer Service Division of the United States Postal Service. When fully implemented, it will affect over 750 thousand United State Postal Employees on a national level.As a guest speaker, Mr. Heidebrecht has authored and/or presented numerous ergonomic and human factors topics throughout the United States, Australia and New Zealand. Topics have included functional capacity evaluations, upper/lower body ergonomic assessments, ergonomic / human factors certification, functional motion analysis, physical demand assessments, job matching, ADA compliance, musculoskeletal disorders and various topics on biomechanics and physiology. Mr. Heidebrecht testified as an expert witness in front of OSHA in July of 2000 regarding the ergonomic standard. In September of 2000 he was asked to present to the National Academy of Sciences in Washington D.C. regarding the effectiveness of ergonomic interventions and the early identification of musculoskeletal disorders.Mr. Heidebrecht graduated with Honors from the University of Kansas for his research and thesis, The Kinetic Analysis of Lifting and Lowering Utilizing Chaffins Biomechanical Model. His research in the fields of ergonomics and physiology has included analysis such as validity and reliability motion analysis devices, personal attributes contributing to musculoskeletal disorders, kinetic analysis of lifting and lowering tasks, tissue response to muscular strains, force plate foot strike analysis, the stretch shortening cycle, and transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation.Mark is Managing Partner and Director of New Product Development for Ergo-Online where he is involved in performing ergonomic assessments and the content development of ergonomic educational products including seminars & web based training modules. Mark also serves as Director of Ergonomic and Biomechanical Services for MotionWatch, LLC where he is involved in the development of ergonomic, rehabilitation and biomechanical analysis technology.He is certified by the Board of Certified Professional Ergonomists as a Certified Ergonomic Associate and holds an additional certification by the American College of Sports Medicine. Mark is currently the National Co-Chair of the Occupational Injury Prevention Rehabilitation Society, a member of the Human Factors and Ergonomics Society and was accepted into the American Society of Biomechanics in 1997. Mark graduated from the University of Kansas with a Masters of Education degree in Biomechanics and Exercise Physiology with emphasis in ergonomics, prevention and rehabilitation of work related injuries. He received Honors for his thesis The Kinetic Analysis of Lifting and Lowering Utilizing Chaffin's Biomechanical Model. Mark has presented nationally at the collegiate and professional level and has acquired over 400 hours of continuing education in the field of occupational health and ergonomics. Mark testified as an expert witness in front of OSHA in July or 2000 regarding the controversial ergonomic standard. I just received the results from the BCPE test I took in San Antonio in October -- I passed!!

I'm now a Certified Professional Ergonomist (CPE)!!

I knew the news was good as soon as I saw the envelope in the mail. It was addressed to " Judi E. See, PhD, CPE ." This was a great Xmas present and a major relief. The test was very difficult (7 hours). I prepared for over a year and a half and was not looking forward to retaking the test if I hadn't passed.

I haven't stopped smiling since I found out. :)

Anyway, just wanted to share the good news.
