Dr. Hugh Sims, M.D
Dr. Hugh Sims is an Otolaryngologist (ENT), a physician who specializes in the medical and surgical treatment of disorders of the ears, nose, throat and related structures. Dr. Sims has been practicing in Bowling Green since 1997 and has been in private practice since 1994. He lives here in the community with his wife and three children where he is very active in both medical and social capacities.

Catherine graduated from Western Kentucky University with a Bachelor's Degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders. She obtained her Master's Degree from the University of Memphis School of Audiology and Speech Language Pathology. She has 9 years of experience in diagnostic audiology, balance disorders, pediatric audiology, and fitting of hearing aids. She is a member of the American Speech, Language & Hearing Association and certified and licensed in Audiology and Hearing Instruments.
Elias graduated in 1970 with a Master's Degree in Audiology from Brigham Young University. He has 40 years of experience in diagnostic audiology, balance disorders, clinical evaluations, counseling, and the programming and fitting of hearing aids. He is a member of the American Speech, Language & Hearing Association, a Fellow of the American Academy of Audiology, and certified and licensed in Audiology and Hearing Instruments.

In an effort to keep our patients informed of their financial obligations, we have implemented the following Financial and Insurance Policies. Please read all of the information below. Your cooperation in following our Financial Policy will allow us to better serve you. Minor Procedure Notification:Your physician may perform a minor procedure in the office at the time of your visit (ear wax removal, nasal endoscopy or flexible fiberoptic larngoscopy). You will receive a seperate bill for the procedure in addition to the office visit bill. The Explanation of Benefits (EOB) form from your insurance may classify this as a surgical procedure, and as such, may apply a surgical co-insurance responsibility or deductible. We recommend that you contact your insurance company for any questions and/or to determine your financial responsibility based on your plan.Appointment Cancellation:ENT of Bowling Green requries a 24-hour notice when cancelling your appoinment.Accepted Insurance Plans:ENT of Bowling Green accepts Medicare, Medicaid, Center Care, Anthem, and most third-party insurance plans! This makes it convenient for both patients and referring physicians and allows you to keep the same doctor even if you change health care plans. If your insurance plan requires you to have a written referral prior to your visit with us, please obtain the referral from your primary care physician. Contacting your health plan prior to your visit can help clarify your responsibilities. Insurance Plan Participation:If you are covered by a health insurance plan with which ENT of Bowling Green participates, you will only be responsible for co- pays, deductibles, co-insurance amounts, and any non-covered services. We will attempt to notify you of any special services you may require that may not be covered by your insurance company. It is of the utmost importance that you provide us with a current copy of your insurance card and notify us immediately if there are changes in this information. Insurance Plan Nonparticipation: If you have a health insurance plan with which ENT of Bowling Green does not have a contractual agreement, you will be responsible for all fees that exceed or are not covered by your health insurance benefits. As a courtesy to you, we will file your claim for payment from your insurance company; however, you are ultimately responsible for timely payment. It is of the utmost importance that you provide us with a current copy of your insurance card and notify us immediately if there are changes in this information. Self-Pay: If you do not have health insurance coverage, payment for services is expected at the time of your office visit. We have a financial counselor available to help you should you need to make other arrangements. Referrals: If your insurance plan requires you to have a written referral prior to your visit with us, please obtain the referral from your primary care physician. Contacting your health plan prior to your visit can help clarify your responsibilities. If you do not have a current referral, you may need to reschedule your appointment until you can obtain one if it is required by your health insurance payor.Co-payments: Co-payments are collected at the time of service. We accept payment by Visa, MasterCard, Discover, check, or cash. Monthly Statements: Any outstanding balance is due upon receipt of statement. Payment can be made by Visa, MasterCard, Discover or personal check. Parental Responsibility: The parent who brings the minor child for care is responsible for all charges, including co-payments. If the child is covered under a health insurance plan, please bring insurance verification at the time of the visit so that we can promptly file a claim for benefits.
