Founded in the fall of 2007, Engravings from the Eye is the creative outlet and joy of Cori J.D. Brooks. She has always loved to photograph sunsets and other scenery, and now also enjoys the challenges and spontaneity of wedding, family, and senior picture engagements. Located south of Wichita, KS, she is an on-site and travel photographer.
History
As a fourth-generation photographer, Cori grew up surrounded in the art and business of a studio family. Her great-grandfather (LaVern Deming) started a studio over 80 years ago and later a photofinishing mail-order business that served thousands of customers over the years. He also owned one of the first movie-cameras west of the Mississippi. After World War II, two of LaVern's sons worked to bring the studio into the color era of prints and slides. Now Cori's cousins have brought the studio into the digital age.

Digital editing ~ $10-$20 per hour
Engravings from the Eye (EFTE) does not sell portraits by the package. This saves the customer money: the client orders the portraits that they want and need, and EFTE does not waste resources giving the client unwanted and expensive photographs.
Sitting fees for ALL sessions include 2 hours of shooting time (exempting wedding and event portraits) and a photo CD. From this CD, the client orders the pictures from EFTE and pays per picture. The fees per picture are very reasonable!
If the client requires digital editing on their photos, there is a small fee for anything beyond basic touch up, black & white, and sepia.
