everyone has a story a really good, juicy story to tell. i like to tell mine through songs.
i grew up in the suburbs of los angeles, in a musical family. i learned to sing and play the piano and guitar from my parents, much practice, and dabbling in creative waters at church.
singing has been my main vehicle. as a soloist and as a member of various vocal groups, i've been able to travel and sing throughout world, including brazil and the philippines.
as a teenager, i began to explore poetry. i used it to release frustration and tell secrets. poetry became both my wings and personal weapon.
in my early years of college, i linked my poetry and music together. inspired by janis joplin, joni mitchell, and cat stevens, i became obsessed with words, expression, and storytelling in the context of music.
since then, i've been writing songs to say anything that's on my mind. i frequent venues and churches in the south bay and long beach. i love to play live and will play almost anywhere, for anyone, for free as long as there is someone willing to listen.
