Philippians 1:9-11 says,
"And this I pray, that your love may abound still more and more in real knowledge and all discernment, so that you may approve the things that are excellent, in order to be sincere and blameless until the day of Christ; having been filled with the fruit of righteousness which comes through Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God."
Paul prays that the Philippians' love for Christ would produce in them "epignosis," or "real knowledge." Paul's word implies a real sense of genuine knowledge and understanding that (as Paul continues) helps the Philippians know the right and best way to live. My vision for ministry is that I personally would live with this compass of knowing the things that really matter and living according to the leading of the Spirit. Further, I want to help others to find this depth of knowledge through obedience to the Spirit of God and the Word of God.
We have named the student ministry at Emory Baptist Real Student Ministry because we want to lead students to love Christ with a devotion that leads them into the "epignosis" of a life surrendured to Him.
Ministry Points
Developing and maturing young believers is an important part of our ministry. For this reason, we plan activities throughout the year to challenge and engage students in living their faith.

Super Summer
Super Summer is not for everyone. It's a leadership camp for students who show a passionate desire to grow deeper in their relationship with God. These students typically are accountable, committed, and disciplined followers of Christ who are seeking new ways to develop their leadership potential. Quality Education with a Christian Focus

Below are links to information and paperwork for Sonbeam enrollment and Sonbeam parents.
The Sonbeam Day School preschool program is part of an outreach service and ministry of Emory Baptist Church. We want to provide each child with a positive educational beginning through quality Christian education and care in a safe, happy learning environment. Our desire is to provide creative learning and sharing experiences, which will help each child develop spiritually, intellectually, emotionally, physically, and socially.
We believe a Christian education is an important part of a child's development. It is far easier to instill Christian family values if the messages they receive at home and in church are reinforced at preschool. Our smaller classes ensure that teachers can devote more time to each student and focus on individual needs. We utilize a combination of the Texas Baptist Weekday and A Beka Christian-based curricula.
Our program serves children who are three and four years of age (as of September 1 of the current school year). Classes meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Our school opens the last Tuesday of August. We follow closely the Rains ISD school calendar for holidays and early release days.
Tuition of $150.00 is due the first day of each school month thereafter.
Discounts are available for immediate families with more than one child in attendance. Limited scholarships are available.
If you have questions about current enrollment possibilities or about our program, please contact Melissa Evans at 903-473-3357 or Melissa.Evans_emorybaptist.org.

Moms In Touch
Moms In Touch
Are you a mom who deeply loves her children and longs for them to grow up to be loving, confident and successful? Do you fear that influences outside your control will steal their hearts? You are not alone.
Fern Nichols is a mom just like you. When her sons entered junior high, she had the same apprehensions. But overriding those fears was a deep trust that God, and only God, could protect and keep her children. Only God could change the lives of friends and coaches and teachers. She knew that if moms gathered together to cry out to God for the needs and concerns of children and schools, that He would not only hear those prayers, but answer them.
Fern called like-minded moms who gathered each week to pray for their children and school, and thus began the first Moms In Touch group. What started so simply in 1984 has grown into a worldwide community of praying moms in every state and in more than 120 countries around the world.
We invite you to browse the Moms in Touch International site, learn more about us, and discover the most important gift you can give your children: your prayers.
Meet in the Bride's Room Wednesdays 6 to 7pm
Moms In Touch International is:
* Two or more moms who meet regularly to pray for their children, their schools, their teachers and administrators.
* Mothers, grandmothers or anyone who is willing to pray for a specific child and school.
* Moms who believe that prayer makes a difference.
* A nonprofit, donation-supported ministry in 120-plus countries.
