Evernote, DropBox, Box.net, Google Docs, Drop.io and hosts of other services offer free versions of their cloud computing technologies with limited storage space. Rather than paying for premium services that offer increased or unlimited storage room, we believe a good portion of the user base will simply sign up for similar services from the list above to utilize additional cloud storage provided at no cost.
Once a user begins utilizing multiple cloud computing services, it will become increasingly more difficult to recall which service was used to host a particular bit of data; whether it be a document, a photo, an audio file, class or business notes, etc.
Currently the only solution for finding the right document is to log in and manually search each and every one of the services until located. In a personal situation, this may be of little consequence, but in circumstances where time is of the essence, a more streamlined and efficient search engine that can quickly retrieve the desired data by crawling all authorized cloud accounts would be ideal.
Currently this service does not exist in any form.
Stormcloud will have a simple user interface which allows the end user to link all of their cloud computing services to their own personal StormCloud account.
Once completed, search words entered on the Stormcloud application will simultaneously access and search every personal cloud of data the user has authorized. Links to files that best match the search terms will be delivered back to the Stormcloud app for the user to choose from.
Stop spending time searching. Storm your clouds all at once with Stormcloud.
