Association for Women in Science
HOME
AWIS is a national organization devoted to achieving equality and full participation of women in all areas of science, engineering, mathematics, and technology. Our chapter at Auburn University focuses its efforts on forming networks among our members, creating mentor-mentee relationships between older and younger members, serving our college and local community, and generating an interest in science in the upcoming generation. Our meetings are held on the first Monday of each month unless otherwise specified on the calendar. We would love for you to join us! You can become a member of Auburn's branch by registering on the national AWIS website link below. Annual dues are $25 in national fees and $5 in chapter fees.

LADIES
Ladies is AWIS's program devoted to promoting an interest for science in younger girls. Once a month, members visit female students at Drake Middle School after school to perform interesting science experiments and watch as the girls light up with interest and curiosity. Be sure to listen for the opportunity to get involved with LADIES!
