EbonyJanice (Janice is pronounced like Peace) is a self-proclaimed "Sista-Girl," artist, activist, and community loving servant of the Lord. After years of dreaming of owning her own publishing company, she launched Belle Noire Publishing and Je Suis Words Editing and Consulting Agency at the age of 22 and has published 5 of her own works to date, and the works of several other authors. She is the founder of "The Free People Project" which is a non-profit Christian organization that produces programming and community projects that "Empower People into Truth," "Minister to the Broken Hearted," and "Reminds Us that We Can Do All Things Through Christ Our Strength." She is currently working on expanding The Free People Project, finishing up a daily devotional that teaches people how to successfully complete a 40 day Juice Fast, final edits of a documentary workshop series called, "The Free Girl Project" and completing her next book: "Confessions of a Free Girl Pt.2: Freedom From the Sexual Sin of My Childhood."

The Free People Project is a project that God gave to me a few years back that I am finally being able to realize in this season of my life. After having worked for years in ministry developing programming, curriculum and projects geared towards empowering people - my territory was enlarged and God stretched me to begin this project. From my season of growth I knew that I was supposed to do three very simple things in my life:1) Minister to the Broken Hearted2) Empower People Into Truth3) Remind People that They Can Do All Things Through Christ Their StrengthBy using the arts, community partnerships and a holistic, strategic curriculum geared towards cultivating whole/free people - The People Project will empower a community to be creative, resourceful and free!This offering to God is called: The Free People Project, because the goal is to ultimately empower people into their original form and remind them that they are free. Being free means MANY MANY things - but the #1 thing (as simple as this is) is that "Because I am FREE indeed... I don't have to live in the bondage that the world has set up for me."

A free girl is a girl, lady, or woman that lives her life in liberty! She is not bound by society's rules and roles for her. She is not moved by other peoples emotional burdens that they try to impose upon her and she thinks clearly, takes deep breaths and makes decisions based on what she really believes - not just what her emotions for the moment say.(Learn More Here)
