We have never viewed ourselves as traditional accountants with traditional work methods, narrow-minded approach to tax-planning, minimum-effort approach to preparing accounts or in fact any other work scope you can think of, nor would we ever want to be like any other accountant we want to be different.We can't escape our basic duties to look after your interests, reduce tax bills and so forth but those are every accountant's duty. We don't just want to do what is expected of us but that and more.The firm was established in 1994 and Graham Arnott, the firm's Partner/Practice Director, has qualifications in both accounting and law and is always keen to use his broad-based knowledge and expertise.

We are a small client-focussed firm of accountants in Reading providing a range of accounting, tax and consulting services to individuals and enterprises of varying sizes and industries. Although Accounting Worx is a reasonably new brand, the practice was formed in 1994.It is easy to be fooled into thinking that all accounting firms are the same because they do the same work. We may seem like any other accounting, tax or bookkeeping practice but we are very different. Our approach to clients, the profession and the services we provide is out of the ordinary and once you join Accounting Worx you'll realise why. The difference lies in two words - "passion" and "dynamic". We have a deep-rooted passion for our career choice and that filters to our open and friendly client service. In modern times, everyone has needed a job of some sort to make a living and we choose to make a living by being accountants, but to us accounting isn't a job, it's a calling.We don't follow traditional ways of servicing clients. Unlike most firms, we don't have one-dimensioned "packaged" service arrangements, fixed formats for our reports, inflexible work methods or regimented fee structures ... we have practice and ethical standards, yes, but everything we do is dynamic to suit your needs. That's the way we prefer it.
PartnerGraham Arnott has qualifications in law and accounting and qualified as a Certified Accountant in 1994 after spending 3 years with a firm of Chartered Accountants. He has been in practice his whole working life.Outside of the practice, Graham serves as a director to a number of local and international companies.Professional StaffRosemary Bannister has over 10 years experience in managing the affairs of small and medium-sized companies, sole traders and partnerships. She manages an extensive portfolio of clients.Janelle Arnott provides bookkeeping and support services to a number of local clients.Administration ManagerBarbara Taylor joined the practice after 20 years in the finance and mortgage industry within customer service. Her duties include dealing with client engagements, money laundering compliance and the office administration.

OUR FEE POLICY

Our fees are based on an open fee policy of fair rates for the work we perform and the responsibility that work takes. We have never set our fees to levels where they exploit our client's financial position and never will. Our fees are calculated with honesty and integrity in mind.Unlike many small firms in our profession we don't subscribe to gaining client merely by cost-cutting our fees. In the long-term it is inevitable that fee and cost reductions will impact on the quality of service and for us, quality is not a negotiable factor. We will always charge that are competitive but reasonable at the same time.

FIXED FEES

We are able to offer you a fixed fee option depending on the size of your enterprise and the complexity of the work you require from us. Fixed fees agreed for a 12-month period and payments are made monthly by standing order.
