DaneDane is an American Songwriter. Growing up in a music loving family DaneDane was exposed to a wide range of genres. Her father introduced her to the great sounds of Tina Turner, The Whispers and Prince. While her mother and brothers introduced her to other musical geniuses such as; Anita Baker, Quincy Jones, Phoebe Snow, Phyllis Hyman, George Benson, and Marvin Gaye .
This peaked her interest in the music business and soon she was studying the industry trying to figure out her niche to break in. In the process , DaneDane also found her love for hip-hop and because she wasnt a vocalist she knew that she had the gift of a true lyricist.
Along with one of her brothers and two of her cousins they formed a rap group called The Kids and begin making music and performing during their family reunions and local talent shows every year. Later they signed on with their older cousin record label , but after a couple of years of shopping demos they became dissatisfied with the music business side and decided to focus more on their education.
