A Little About Me:"I run a family, home based childcare and know that my top priority is to keep parent/guardian communication and trust in the safety and healthy development of their child" "Having raised 2 daughters of my own…I know that every parent want what is best for their baby. It is never easy leaving a child with someone else…But I am not just anyone else…I grew up taking care of very young children…I was practically raised by my aunt, who was a Registered Army Nurse at the time, to properly care for and give baths to newborns…And I was only seven years old! My heart goes out to those children who were not given the emotional, social, cognitive, physical and developmental attention that is so needed at a young age, so it is instilled in me that those needs must never be neglected for any child…"Qualifications:State Licensed 19200**** since 2002.Almost 10 years of experience.CPR certifiedFirst Aid certifiedView certificates awarded to DeliaHome-Based Childcare vs.Daycare CenterA Home-based childcare is care provided by a contract individual hired by a licensed agency in their own homes. This type of child care enables children to be cared for in a similar setting to their own home. Unlike a Daycare center, the child to adult ratio is much lower, therefore has a benefit of more one on one attention and quality time. This enables the child to build up trust and security with me, while they are away from their parents or guardians and where individual needs can be better met. Home-based childcare can also be more flexible and children can enjoy real life learning experiences, like cooking, outings, and mealtimes. Children will also be able to mix with other children of different ages from other families, increasing their social skills and understanding of the wider world around them. Children will also have opportunities to make some of their own decisions, which will enhance their confidence and self esteem. The childcare provider can ensure that time is available to discuss any issues with the parents and work in conjunction with the family to achieve consistency with the child's home experience. What we do

Nutritional meals are always provided as the childcare is registered through the Comprehensive Food Program for children.I especially love making authentic home-made hot dishes (ie. Click here to get an idea of the kinds of food I love to cook, but mostly I cook Sinigang, Nilaga, Kaldereta, Adobo and Pancit)Freshly squeezed orange juice is served daily.I bought "Reading on Hooked on Phonics" to develop the childrens' reading skills. Learning activities such as storytelling, imaginitive play, reading, drawing, coloring, singing, arts and crafts etc. are part of the daily routine...We know children learn best at the earliest age, so we try to take advantage of their willingness to learn as much as possible!Homework help is provided for those who currently attend school.Some physical activity include simply dancing, as I am an avid ballroom dancer! Older children in my care know some line dance routines I've taught them...It is very cute to watch! Potty Training is also provided for those children who need it. We provide transportation to and from school, lessons etc. I have hired a child care helper/assistant throughout the day and she is wonderful!Extracurricular activitiesWe're always willing to provide parents with the choice of enrolling their children in activities not provided in the family childcare. Right now, some parents have enlisted their children to Piano Lessions and Hula Dance Lessons, while we provide the transportation from school, to the lessons, and then back to our child care so you can stay at work!In the summer, children in our child care usually would enroll in swimming lessons from the local park. Again, we provide the transportation to and from.

Childcare

There is 14x40 feet of space built especially for the childcare as an extension from our home.We have a very convenient drop off and pick up area for on the go parents! Yes! We have enough space right in the front of our house for you and other parents to park! The house is in a very nice, safe and quiet neighborhood and only minutes away from various local parks. We are conveniently located near 91, 110, and 405 freeways.I was brought up to keep things very clean, neat, fresh and as germ-free as possible! So I am meticulous when cleaning the childcare every week! Oh and I loathe those milk residues on baby bottles, you must take it apart to clean all the nooks and crannies! Definitely no sloppy cleaning here...

Perks!

To the ParentsI know how hectic Tax Season could be, so I'm doing this on my own accord. Near tax season, I provide parents their individualized records of their payments and any records that may be important to them in a Microsoft Excel Sheet printed out just for them. =)I am flexible with parents who work at different hours and I also offer special rates for siblings.The children love our parties. We celebrate almost all the fun holidays. Their most favorite one is our very very fun Christmas Party where you can expect exciting games for the whole family!For those children who need transportation, we have a designated childcare van to drive around in so they are always able to recognize who is picking them up! My family is fluent in tagalog (Filippino Language) as well (article: Numerous Benefits on exposure to different languages)My two older daughters teach the children sign language for fun sometimes.

Q: Are you flexible in taking care of my kid(s) besides your normal business hours?A: With an agreed upon arrangement, yes I am. Sometimes, I have parents that need to pick up their children at a later time or I have parents who need to drop off their child earlier than 6am or they also need childcare during the weekends and holidays.Q: What are your rates?A: It depends on your specific needs, but I can tell you right now, I am very affordable!
