For the uninitiated, Oxfork started life at the end of last year when two lady chefs, though loving their work at one of Oxford's finest eateries, wanted a new challenge for 2011. They started an underground supper club at one of their homes, where people took a chance, came for dinner, had fun and spread the word. Subsequently every event in this early phase sold out, and Oxfork has since blossomed into a larger, more dynamic collective of like-minded chefs, event promoters, artists and musicians, who all have one thing in common - they LOVE food!
With all this extra help-at-hand, the head chefs decided to take the show on the road and expand into the exciting world of pop-up restaurants, and will soon be opening their own Oxfork Cafe on Magdalen Road.
