Mission
Our Mission with the Sweet Dreams Foundation is to to change the quality of life for children who have been diagnosed with a life threatening disease through the creation of their dream bedroom. These children can not live a normal life so we take the time to get to know the child's needs and wants to create an atmosphere for them that eases the pain and aids their healing process.
President / Interior Designer
Jennifer Richards was born and raised right here in our own Sacramento Valley. At a young age, she demonstated an emerging appetite for design and a passion for children. She has been privileged to travel extensively though Europe, Asia and South America which has opened her eyes to the vast beauty and unique cultural differences in both architecture and interior design. It wasnt until she traveled to Guatemala as a missionary to redesign a preschool and play with the children that she realized she wanted to do something more with her interior design career. At 21 years old, Ms Richards started Sweet Dreams Foundation as just a dream and now 4 years later it has become her career as the president and the interior designer.

At birth, Claire was diagnosed with hypoplastic left heart syndrome. Meaning, the left side of her heart was underdeveloped. She received the Fontan Operation along with three other open heart surgeries as treatment for her disease. After the surgery she developed Protein Losing Enteropathy. Because of the severity of these diseases she cannot experience life as a normal child, such as going to school. Creating her dream bedroom is more than just a place to sleep, its where she plays, imagines and spends the majority of her time.
Braycen Godfrey has been diagnosed with Rubinstein Taybi Syndrome, basically that means he has a mutated chromosome. Braycen is legally blind; however, he can see bright colors and he can still make out objects. He also has problems with his urinary tract and his heart. Braycen has been through over 25 surgeries and each time the anesthesiologist has to tell his mother that it is very unlikely for him to make it through the surgery alive. But, Braycen is a strong little boy who makes it through surgeries and brings only joy to his family and the hospital staff.
