What does this mean??
Dordt College is a 4 year college that teaches from a Reformed perspective.
What can you expect from this program??
Biblical - Our program seeks to help students cultivate a form of ministry and pastoral care that is grounded in the love of God revealed in Jesus Christ. God speaks through the testimony of the biblical narrative, which provides the foundation for Christian identity.
Practical - Our program combines periods of reflection with opportunites for practice. Intellectual and spiritual formation occur through reflective practice as we live in relationship and community.
Contextual - Our program emphasizes the cultural context in which young people live. Youth ministry is an interprative task as youth leaders and pastoral caregivers interpret the biblical story so it might speak to the lived cultural world of young people.
Ecumenical - While our program draws off of the Reformed tradition, we encourage and welcome the presence of all traditions as we seek to better understand the universal church of Jesus Christ.
