Doctors Pharmaceuticals, Inc., was duly incorporated and registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission in June 1946, and started actual production of a few selected Pharmaceutical products from humble beginnings in a small research laboratory erected on 650-square meter land near the family residence of its founder, Dr, Ramon C. Quesada, in Grace Park, Caloocan City, Metro Manila, Philippines.
The period from the early 1950s to 1995 witnessed the continous growth of the pharmaceutical industry in the Philippines, and the Company gradually acquired modern laboratory and production equipment and machines to sustain its expansion of plant facilities in order to produce and supply the increasing orders for its product lines.
In March of 1996, ownership was transfered when the Quesada family decided to emigrate abroad and thus divested in favor of Mr. Cesar T. Doque who had just then retired from his executive posting in Citibank, NEW YORK , USA, Who belong also to a family of Medical Practitioners, and whose father, Dr, Francisco Q. Duque Jr.,, Served with distinction the Philippine Goverment as Scretary of Health in 1961 to 1963 under the Administration of former President Diosdado Macapagal.
Today, the research laboratory and production plant Facilities of Doctors Pharmaceuticals, inc. (also called "Doctors Pharma" for short ) , have been relocated to its new site occupying four (4) concrete buildings with separate air handling systems in an industrial Complex, Vetearans Center, Adjacent to the FTI Export Processing Zone, West Bicutan, Taguig City, Metro Manila, Philippines.
