Although relatively young, DJ JewBoy has shattered the stereotypes of an amateur DJ. Born and raised in Chicago, Illinois, DJ JewBoy has grown up in a household filled with music and Judaism (well, duh).
He began mashing in 2007 after hearing Girl Talk's "Night Ripper." The rest as they say is history. With his debut release of Ka-Ballin! (2007), JewBoy followed with with Gin and Jews (2008), Guns and Moses EP (2008), The Experiment (2008), Digital Grammar (2009), Keepin' It Is-Real, Vol. 1 (2009), Boy Vs. Goy (2009), and Chrome Kippur (2010). DJ JewBoy has received high acclaim from such places such as Whatthemashup.com and WNTH Radio in Chicago. In early June, DJ JewBoy released "Chrome Kippur," his second full-length continuous album, to the public for free download. It opened with stellar praise.
While DJ JewBoy tries to emulate his mashup idols such as Girl Talk and Super Mash Bros, he has developed his own style which has been called "mellow and safe, yet witty and fresh" to "Dope stuff, 'nuff said!"
Unfortunately, he is in the process of learning how to perform live, so those interested in live shows will have to wait.
Contrary to popular belief, DJ JewBoy is actually Jewish. He has had a bar-mitzvah and many glasses of Manishewitz were downed.
Any of this music is absolutely free for enjoyment.
