As a resident of Harford County for the last 19 years, Diana and Ed and their two sons are proud to have called the community of Hampton Ridge their home for every one of those years! Diana and Ed bought their first Hampton Ridge home when they moved to Bel Air from Columbia, Maryland. At the time, Ed and Diana had one three year old boy and Diana was pregnant with their second son…who is now a 6 ft 5” tall 19 year old in his second year at the University of Maryland’s Smith School of Business! That three year old, by the way, just graduated from Vanderbilt University in Nashville! Where has the time gone?
Over the years, the community of Hampton Ridge has been every thing and more to my family that we hoped it would be. We actually moved after living in our first Hampton Ridge home for 10 years, to another Hampton Ridge home that we have now been in since 2000! We were ready for something a little bigger on a slightly larger lot but loved the community so much we didn’t want to leave. When another home came on the market that we fell in love with, we packed up every last thing…and moved all of two blocks away! If my boys weren’t in our backyard or out front on our new street playing when I got home, it was not unusual for me to find a note that they were playing “with their old friends” on the “old court”. We loved our first home and still love the one we are in now. We have many great friends and neighbors in Hampton Ridge. The kids have developed childhood friendships that will undoubtedly last a lifetime. Cul-de-sacs and sidewalks encourage bike riding, walking, and catching up with neighbors. We love the community’s proximity to everything we need, be it schools, shopping malls, grocery or convenience stores, restaurants, swim clubs, athletic clubs and more!
