Oklahombres
Based on a true story
In 1890's Oklahoma Territory, outlaw gang leader Bill Doolin struggles to escape his life of crime while being pursued by a trio of U.S. Marshals.
Based on true events and showing the perspectives of the outlaw and the lawmen in a hostile frontier setting, the story explores the respect each side can foster for the other, despite operating from very different moral codes.
Frontier outlaw Bill Doolin (of the famed Dalton-Doolin Gang) is one of the most notorious bandits the territory has ever known, with a successful career of bank and train robberies. But after becoming a husband and then later a father, Doolin decides that his life would be more meaningful if he gave up his outlaw ways. But he must overcome the trappings of his former lifestyle, most of which is the loyalty he feels to his gang that tries to keep him in “the life.”
At the same time, the long arm of the law won’'t simply let him walk away, either. Marshals Bill Tilghman, Heck Thomas, and Chris Madsen (known as “The Three Guardsmen”) are hot on Doolin’'s trail and are committed to bringing him to justice. Although bound by his duty, Tilghman would like to see Doolin turn his life around, and his sympathies sometimes bring him into conflict with his fellow marshals.
