I was the Location Manager for Werner Herzog and David Lynch on their latest film "My Son My Son what have ye done." I scouted and manage over 15 locations for the film.
I interned with the San Diego Film Commission for 7 months dealing with permitting and marketing for film and television. I broke down the scripts to determine impact to the police, neighborhoods and city. Coordinated schedules with City and County supervisors and Producers/Directors.
See attached photos for how I manage the properties, I always make a website for Cast/Crew and put down all pertinant information they will need.
I have worked under the Executive Producer for Groovy Like a Movie and for the San Diego Film Commission with permitting and marketing.
My experience lies in permitting, marketing, story boarding, shot lists, managing crew, release forms and obtaining resources and equipment.
See attached photos for sample shotlists and call sheets I have made up.

Frank was of critical success for us during the 2009 Superbowl lve broadcast. He got us the PlayOn Sports live broadcast system, trained us up on how to use it in a day and provided tech support while we were live in Florida. He's the man, without his help and support we wouldn't have been able to pull it off.

The enthusiasm and spunk Frank displays as a Location Manager/Scout can't be compared to any other Location Manager. I've never seen a person so energetic in getting the job done. One day we lost a location that was scheduled to shoot the next day. The nearest location of the same was a 2 1/2 hour drive one way. Frank hopped in his car and drove to this location to scout it and book it so that the cast and crew could continue without interruption with our shooting schedule. He'll always be the number one location manager/scout in my book. Hire him and I know you'll have the same dynamic experience with Frank.

The San Diego Film Commission prides itself on the educational outreach programs it sponsors. The Academic Intern Program offers film students a behind the scenes look at the business of TV and Film; how to translate the written word into the logistics of on location filming. Frank Wells is interning with the Film Commission throughout the fall of 2008 while attending San Diego City College and he brings remarkable maturity and skill to his work here.
From the very first conversation, I recognized this young mans deep understanding and appreciation of the craft of filmmaking and his strong desire to learn everything he could about the production process. His love of writing became evident as he was assigned several scripts to read and breakdown, evaluate for public impact, safety and community sensitivities. He was clear and insightful in his analysis and very precise in his critique of more than one commercial script shooting here. Frank asked all the right questions and demonstrated a natural ability, understanding and instinct for creating the moving image. He is ambitious and thrives on the synergy of the creative process.
Frank demonstrated great organizational skills and attention to detail. His sense of responsibility and follow through are exceeded only by his passion for films, his work ethic and his innate comedic timing and sense of humor. I encourage your serious consideration of Frank Wells for scholarship opportunities and advanced placement in your film programs. I believe he can be one of the gifted ones in this very difficult and often cut-throat business. Frank will bring a depth of understanding, excellent communication skills, and vision to your program; attributes that can be nurtured and matured into great accomplishments for this young man. Please give him the opportunity to excel.
