The INLAWS
Joe McGinness
Joe grew up with major family musical influence. Both his mother and father played and performed in country bands. As well as both of his older brothers. So naturally, it was only a matter of time until Joe started playing an instrument.
Joe formed his first band when he was 14. It was a rock group called C4 which consisted of himself, his 2 older brothers and his cousin. After a few years of playing, Joe branched off to try some different musical projects. He began writing original material and found himself really into todays country music.
Inspired by musicians such as Brent Mason and Brad Paisley, Joe soon began learning many different instruments and styles of music. In addition to guitar, Joe plays Bass Guitar, Banjo, Dobro, Drums, Mandolin, Piano and Steel guitar. Shortly after C4 dissolved, Joe formed, and fronted, the country band LONGSHOT. LONGSHOT quickly attracted a following and won the local regions Colgate Country Showdown competition. They went on to compete in later rounds. However, despite the groups potential success, several band members schedules started to disagree and LONGSHOT dissolved in early 2005.
