Designs by Lynnea has evolved from my lifetime desire to wear items that are beautiful, unique, trend-setting and yet, timeless. I started to create jewelry as a young girl and have continued throughout my life.
Because one or more components of each piece are designed and created specifically for that piece, I can truly say that my jewelry pieces are one-of-a-kind.
I would describe my style of jewelry making as a collage of techniques and components, I typically use lampwork (yes I do make them) beads, crystals, semi precious materials, metal and glass and then add in chains, ribbons, wire work and charms to create pieces that are both complex and classic. I purchase on-trend materials and blend them with handmade components; I then combine everything with just the right technique(s) to marry the overall look of the piece. I have found that this approach generates pieces that convey my vision of what I find esthetically pleasing; and much to my delight, has also won over a diverse group of jewelry fans.
My current focus is a technique called altered art pendants. I use small microscope slides and collage art to make pendants and charms which I then embellish with beads, chains and ribbon to create necklaces and bracelets. These pieces offer a very high-end look that appeals to many who have never been fans of craft jewelry.
As an additional service, I will alter-to-fit any piece purchased. This is particularly nice for those who find the standard sizing of jewelry limiting.
