"Bula!"
Set in the tropical South Pacific, Fiji boasts 333 magnificent islands, some inhabited, some not. Bula! is universally used to say hello, or welcome, and is even exclaimed if you sneeze. It means “life” and is a way of wishing good health and fortune to the recipient. AAV Travel is dedicating their table to this beautiful piece of paradise and their always smiling, generous people, that touched our heart during a visit this winter.

"The Art of Illusion: To Eat or Be Eaten"
To Eat or Be Eaten depicts a table that is trapped in a web when looking from a far. While up close, you can view all kinds of different illusions on the table and learn about how our site and mind plays tricks on us. Our designers have come up with some pretty fun games and experiments to demonstrate the Art of Illusion.

"Romance & Roses"
This simple tabletop is designed with romance in mind. Using shades of pink and lavender to highlight the antique floral china, the designers chose the pink eternity striped overlay cloth. The napkins hold a single tea rose accenting the centerpiece. Lots of votive candles give the table the intimate feel it needs. Simple, pretty and cost-effective.

TH Community Theatre
Community Theatre of Terre Haute
"Hat’s Off to Community Theatre of Terre Haute...85 years!"
Begun in 1926 with hand full of women who thought Terre Haute should have a non-professional civic theatre group; Community Theatre of Terre Haute is the story of dreams, visions, and most of all, dedication of hundreds of volunteers. The second oldest non-professional theatre, in continual operation in Indiana, CT produces five main stage productions each year and several smaller productions on our Oakley Stage all with local volunteers. Community Theatre gives the citizens of the Wabash Valley the opportunity to see and become a part of live theatre. We are very proud of our history, progress and contribution to the community. Behind the scenes and on stage, self satisfaction, camaraderie, and a simple love of the theatre has generated our mission to entertain, educate, and enrich the community through dramatic arts.

"Hands Healing Hearts"
To relay my message of massage and art, there are images of hands and hearts that give quips about the benefits of massage enclosed with silver bangles and crystals hanging from the ceiling that relate to the chakras of the body. This series has been inspired by the stories of people that I have been able to help with relaxation and pain relief. To instill the ideals of healing hands there are stained glass stepping stones that will relate to the energy centers of the body, placed around the table. Art is healing and so is massage. Wonderful energies come from both venues that I hold dear in my life. Another thing to be included will be homemade bath salts that help to relax the mind, body and soul. If it is peace and serenity that you are wishing for, come join me at my table for a lovely and relaxing time. Let the magic energy of massage and art entice you.

"Fruit & Chocolate"
I will try my best to make every bouquet true to the picture you see on this website. However container may vary. I strive to use the freshest possible ingredients. Sometimes if a particular fruit is not available in its peak form, I may have to substitute the fruit. I use fruit that is well washed and cut in to fancy shapes in my bouquets. However because of its nature the lettuce, used to support the bouquet, is not washed and therefore advised not to be consumed.
I use nothing but gourmet Belgian chocolate with high cocoa butter. As such I also temper my chocolate to give it a nice sheen and snap. For chocolate dipped pieces you can choose your fruit as well as the chocolate to dip in. Like wise you can also choose your toppings if you so desire.

"Vintage Winter Wonderland"
Whether she is conducting Stampin' Up! workshops, teaching yoga, creating art, or designing events, Tammy Lundborg of TK's Kreative Koncepts is inspired by the world around her. Her creativity is sparked when she sorts through ephemera, rummages through vintage bits and pieces, sees something embellished in an unusual way, or teaches yoga philosophy. As she joins Arts Illiana's TableScapes, Tammy's table depicts vintage-inspired snowmen, taking us back to a time when there wasn't a care in the world, when one could create all day, taking inspiration from the world around. If you are interested in creating art out of paper, attending yoga classes, or are looking for a creative consultant, contact Tammy, who will meet your creative needs.

Smoke & Mirrors
"Smoke & Mirrors"
"Having always been intrigued by photography's dual nature of seeming at once truthful and static as well as magical and sometimes illusory, I was drawn to the studio name Smoke & Mirrors very early on. Embracing that dichotomy of the medium's very nature, the table celebrates both literally and figuratlively the artform's fluid and often cluded truth. What is real? And what is Smoke & Mirrors?"

"Reddy, Set, Grow!"
Platted in the early days of 1816, Terre Haute has endured its fair share of economic growthand decline. Iron and steel mills, hominy plants and, late in the 19th century, distilleries, breweries, coal mines, and coal operating companies helped business boom in Terre Haute. Unfortunately, the city entered a period of economic decline once the coal mines were spent and the importance of the railroads diminished. Once home to many large department stores and other retail establishments, the 1970s and 1980s witnessed the abandonment of downtown by the department stores and most retail businesses. After several years of hard work and growth, however, Terre Haute was named 2010 Community of the Year by the Indiana Chamber of Commerce. Several different factors - including the Riverscape project, significant downtown revitalization, large-scale healthcare investment, and the continued growth of the area's four institutions of higher education - all contributed to Terre Haute being selected for this great honor. We invite you to take a table tour through Terre Haute and discover what helped us take shape and grow into the Community of the Year.

"Life After Stella's"
After a few years of being a great contributor to the daily eats of downtown it is unfortunate to see a great place like Stella's restaurant go. That being said, there is Life After Stella's and with this design you will see some of the things in mind for our wonderful hostess, Stacia, that we all have grown to love in the past few years. Good luck in all you do!

"Southwest"
The Swope Alliance table is centered on Walter Ufer's painting, Meditation, which is an oil on canvas purchased by the Swope in 1943. Meditation's setting allows for our southwest décor. Judy Ohmit, a Rockville potter, designed and produced the horsehair pottery for tablescape's use.

"Raining Cats & Dogs"
In Vigo County and the surrounding area, it seems as if it is quite literally "raining cats and dogs". Stray animals are a big concern in our community, where irresponsible owners let their pets run free to roam the neighborhoods, or ultimately, abandon these same “pets” to fend for themselves. Fortunately, there is hope; by adopting your new 4-legged family member from a shelter such as the Terre Haute Humane Society (THHS), you help to reduce the stray animal population. Additionally, by promoting and utilizing local spay/neuter programs, including the low cost spay/neuter program at THHS, you can help reduce the "rain" of unwanted cats and dogs in our community. This year's THHS table depicts the old saying, "It's raining cats and dogs" and is a fun, lighthearted look at the age-old issue of stray cat and dog overpopulation.
