Our main purpose is to serve as a youth leadership, youth empowerment, and entrepreneurial training corporation. Our focus is on the development of mental, physical and social skills of youth. We deliver our services through comprehensive and holistic educational and recreational approaches at training sites, known as Embassies, in the United States and Kenya. Since 1989, we have assisted well over 3,000 youth and families worldwide.
The corporation is divided into 3 divisions: Prevention Services, Intervention Services and Supportive Services. Below outlines the services provided.
PREVENTION:
Mentoring
Group mentoring is provided to deal with the day-to-day issues of young peoples lives in a positive manner.
Remedial Assistance
Academic assistance is provided in basic reading, writing, and arithmetic.
Employment Training
Young people will receive job readiness training along with career mentoring and summer employment opportunities directly linked to academic and occupational learning.
Leadership
The youth are placed in leadership positions and are charged with the coordination of their meetings and implementation of the agenda and initiatives that they wish to promote.
Empowerment
Young people are educated on how to advocate for or against issues that affect themselves and/or their community.
Entrepreneurship
We offer intensive entrepreneurship education for youth, which includes a Youth Entrepreneur Incubator to facilitate the start-up and maintenance of youth enterprises.
INTERVENTION:
The Serudj Principle
A comprehensive approach of addressing the issues of delinquency among juveniles, designed as an intervention model focusing on the issues of pro-social skills development.
Therapeutic Sessions
These sessions, conducted by a licensed clinical therapist, for those young people who have been abused, involved in drugs, and other such mental health problems that face young people.
SUPPORTIVE SERVICES:
Support Services Assistance
We provide assistance to families who seek assistance in obtaining resources to help their children and the family unit.
