Since opening our doors in 2007, we have watched the sports of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and Mixed Martial Arts grow in popularity and exposure. We are proud to say that Defkon 1 has kept up with the times. Today, we have grown into one of the best gyms of our kind in the South East, while still providing excellent classes, outstanding coaching, and a great place to roll.
We offer classes for adults and children in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Wrestling, Boxing, Muay Thai, Mixed Martial Arts, Cardio Kickboxing, and fitness for all levels. Our students vary from sport hobbyists to competitive athletes. They hold titles from white belt to black belt; from MMA enthusiast to you Pro MMA fighters; from get back in shape to pushing personal limits. Our dedication to growing and teaching the sport, as well as our unique coaching staff, is what sets us apart and allows us to meet the needs of such a wide array of students.
The atmosphere you will find here is one of a mutual love of the sport and respect for one another. We offer an exceptional coaching staff, but more than that, Defkon 1 is the home to a great community. Egos are left at the door. Everyone is here to learn and to help one another.
