The Deep Eddy Mosaic Mural Project is seeking people who have a historical story about Deep Eddy for a documentary the Project is making about the pool. We want the documentary to convey the pool's rich history and the project to create a mosaic mural that is capturing the interest of students all across Austin and teaching the the pool's history.
Here is the promo for the documentary and the project. KLRU has written a letter of intent to air the 26 minute documentary three times during prime time and syndicate it for two years. Art In Public Places has funded the mural, and we are still seeking funding for the documentary.
Also, check out the South Texas Art Therapy Association Workshop video documenting the Childrens' Mental Health Awareness Day at Travis High School this year. Thanks to Dave Bellesen and his students, especially Santiago Garcia and Ulises Contreras. (YOU CAN FIND THIS ON THE WORKSHOPS PAGE)
