Dunaskin Doon Band is based at the Dunaskin Heritage centre, just outside of Patna. The band is ideal to provide the accompaniment to any event or function - from a full size Brass Band down to a Soloist. Dunaskin Doon Band is a Scottish Brass band with a history of performing that extends over 140 years. To check on availability, or to make a booking, please email: bookings_ddband.co.uk or for further information please send a message through the 'Contact Us' page on this site.
The Band was formed on the 4th March 1869. It is felt that the band originally was formed as a works band at a time when the iron furnaces at Waterside were in full production. The band has always been self supporting. Through fundraising, local authority grants and the band's patronage scheme, the high standards of Dunaskin Doon Band are maintained and its future insured. Dunaskin Doon Band has played at many venues over the years, including corporate events in Aberdeen, weddings in Troon, galas in Strathaven, concerts in Ayr Gaiety Theatre and contests in The Wembley Arena. Music of all types available from Classical to Modern, Opera to Pop, from Marches to the Musicals.

As Dunaskin Doon Band becomes more and more successful, it needs the support of it's patrons to meet the ever increasing running costs. We offer patrons the opportunity to become a special friend and get more involved in the numerous activities of the band. As a patron you will receive regular correspondence from us to keep you informed of our activities, concession tickets for concerts, as well as hearing how your money is being used. Individual patronage costs just £10 per annum. Business patronage is also available, at a cost of £100 per annum. In return, you will receive the above as well as space for an advert in both our summer and Christmas concerts and space to advertise on this site. If you would like to become a patron of the band, please click the following link: patrons_ddband.co.uk
As the band is self financed, the patronage scheme is pivotal to ensuring the high standards of Dunaskin Doon Band are maintained.
We thank you very much for your support.
