BLAST (Belonging, Learning, and Serving, Together)This is our ministry to the 5th - 8th grade at Our Shepherd. This is also incorporated into our Confrmation Ministry. In incorpoartes families into the lives of the youth through monthly activites.

August22 Church Picnic Set-Up 10am - 2pm. meet at Strakis Lake _10 and be ready to help set-up chairs for the church picnic. After set-up we will eat some hotdogs and have some fun playing in the lake. Last names that begin with A - M please bring a side item like chips and dip, or potatoe salad. M - Z please bring a desert to share. Everyony be sure to bring your favorite beverage and your swim suits.23 Church PicnicSeptember18-19 Jr. High Disrtict Retreat at Camp Lakeview for 7th and 8th grade only. Registration cost of $55 is due before August 31!!!! This will be a fun time for you to meet other Jr. Highers from around the state. It is an awesome program, and if a parent would like to go along please contact DCE Dan for more information.18 Putt-Putt and Games For those that are not able to on the District Retreat we will being meeting at a putt-putt and games place to have some fun19 Servant Breakfast as servants of Christ we want to serve other people around us. We will host a breakfast for those coming to fill thier S.H.A.P.E. profiles. October4 BLAST oFF 6:30pm - 8pm. BLAST oFFs are designed for the youth to come and have a good time with each other. We play games, eat some food, and have a bible study.9 Corn Maze meet at the church at 7:30pm as we travel to Beasly's Apple orchard to find out way around the maze. Dress warm because is may be cold. Cost is $6.00 per person. We will return to the church for some warm beverages.18 BLAST oFF 6:30 - 8pm.30 Trunk or Treat - You all get to help lead games and activities for any children that may attend our Trunk or Treat.November1 BLAST OFF - 6:30 - 8pm. 15 BLAST oFF - 6:30 - 8pm.21 Lazar Tag and Food Pantry Help meet at church by 8am and help stock and organize our food pantry before we travel to the nearest Lazar tag. We should be done Lazar Tagging around 12pm.December13 Caroling, Chili, Cookies, and Cocoa! - you will be combined with the High School Group for this great event. We will be caroling to a local nursering home, to some shut-ins, and also to anyone else who signs up for a carol-o-gram. Arrive at church by 3pm. We will finish around 6pm. If you think you make a good pot of chili bring in your pot and we will have a small chili cook-off contest for everyone to judge and then enjoy!January22-23 LOCK-IN - mark your calendars for a night of hilarity, fun, and messy games. Times and cost will be coming soon.
