Long recognized as one of the top-performing public schools in the state of Georgia, Lakeside High School is poised for an even brighter future. Construction has begun on a $24 million renovation project that will include the addition of a 600-seat fine arts auditorium, 25 new classrooms, new science labs, career tech facilities and new special needs classrooms. Locker rooms, restrooms, cafeteria, media center and other spaces will also get much needed makeovers.
The county has allocated funds for this new Lakeside and we are grateful.
However, these funds are not sufficient to finish the dream renovation of our Lakeside Vikings facilities. We need your help. With your financial support, we can take advantage of builders on site to limit costs and upgrade facilities for the school and community, including:
* Artificial turf football field with bleachers & lighting for P.E.
classes, marching band, athletic teams & the community
year-round
* Covered, multi-sport court for P.E. classes, volleyball,
basketball and tennis
* A concession stand to be used by all sports
* A patio next to the cafeteria
* Additional lighting & equipment for the auditorium
* A Spirit Wall to recognize school sponsors and student
achievements
* AND, future needs identified as funding is raised
Chick-fil-a sandwiches for sale after school every Friday for $4 each on the patio outside the cafeteria. Come get yours this Friday!

In Viking tradition, Valhalla is a place where the heroes showed great valor and courage. The Valhalla Project is a once-in-a-generation opportunity to upgrade the Lakeside Viking's facilities and create a state-of-the-art high school that will benefit the entire community.
Please: Be a hero to our children and help with a generous (and tax-deductible) gift. We are asking alumni, parents, students, businesses, and everyone in the LHS feeder community to help raise just 5% more than our SPLOST allocation so we can finish the DREAM now.
