Some examples of the workshops we run for Primary Schools
Drama: A one hour workshop based around a popular children’s story. This creative workshop tells the tale and then encourages children to explore characters and themes through their bodies. Physical and vocal skills will be developed in order to empower the young creative mind. Please call for a list of stories on offer.
Storytelling make and create: This is a one hour workshop in which children will be encouraged to explore art through storytelling. Children will make in order to take part in the storytelling process. Please call for a list of stories on offer.
Dance: A one hour workshop that encourages children to move. The children will be encouraged to explore the ways in which their bodies move through an understanding of different types of music from around the world. This is a workshop for freeing the mind by encouraging interactive play through the whole body.
Actor Visits: A tailor made visit by a character to your classroom to encourage an exploration of environment, community and personal and social skills. Schools need to decide the length of the visit and what theme they would enjoy exploring.
Please contact us directly for a consultation.
Theme Days: We can tailor make a theme day in which a whole year or else school participates.
Please call for further information and a consultation.

Texts for now: A two hour workshop looking at key texts through practice students will be encouraged to explore themes, synopsis and character in a two hour workshop that will also encourage an appreciation for the language used in creating a dramatic text.
So whats physical about Theatre? A two hour workshop that teaches skills in physical theatre and how they can be used in both text based work and devising.
Where do we begin: the craft in devising. This two hour workshop looks at how to find and use stimulus in order to create performance and the ways in which to shape material including the pros and cons of editing.
Monologues and duologues: This two hour workshop looks at how to approach a monologue or duologue, negotiating ideas about character, how to use the voice, how to map the punctuation in the text to bring meaning to thought and how to find the
emotional shades through a piece of text.
Voice and the performer: A two hour workshop looking at the ways in which to use voice through performance. Students will be encouraged to understand the techniques of voice as they are led through fun fuelled practical exercises.
All workshops can be tailor made for schools. We can work over many weeks or else for a single day with many classes.
Please call us for tailor made options.
All Workshops available can be tailored for F&HE level students.
We can also offer a resident director, choroegrapher or creative service to work with your students.
We can work with your students over many weeks or else for a single day .
Please call us for options.
Drama in the curriculum: How to engage drama in order to find the creative in the everyday classroom situation. There will be practical exercises along with ideas on how to engage with the curriculum through the medium of text, improvisation and the ways in which to look at being creative through the voice and body.
This is both a skills base and idea share workshop lasting 3 hours.
This workshop can also be booked for development days.
Ive run out of ideas! A three hour workshop that refreshes ideas in drama, looking at new games and ways to map stimulus. This encourages ways in which to look at story or texts and engages in mapping lessons from start to end of term.
This is a practical and skills sharing workshop.
Both workshops were fantastic. The children at my school have many behaviourial and social needs which were all addressed by the workshop leaders. Many children have asked that they return as they said that they learnt so much about the topics and themselves.
