My name is Derrick Daughtry from Orlando, Florida. I am a Junior at Embry-Riddle and am studying Meteorology with an area of concentration in Media. I am also in Army ROTC as well as brother of Sigma Alpha Epsilon. My goal in the coming years is to obtain a job in the Broadcast Meteorology field and commission as an Officer in the United States Army.I love to laugh, but I also take important things very seriously. I keep my friends close and my family closer. Music is my passion, even though I don’t play an instrument. I really do listen to everything. If I wasn’t becoming a Meteorologist I would want to do record producing or be a talent agent. I rarely shut up but that doesn’t mean I don’t have important things to say. I love life and enjoy every minute of it.

Introduction to Portfolio
This portfolio and overall display of works started out as just something that I had to do for class. But as the semester went on, the projects became more and more fun and I began to actually enjoy the assignmets and some serious work into it.Perhaps one of my favorite projects was the typographic self portrait. It really allowed me to express some of my creative side and was basically an open ended assigment that I could do whatever I wanted.Another one of my personal favorites was the assignment where we wrapped text inside of a giant letter. I used the lyrics to one of my favorite songs by A Day To Remember. The color sceme, which is black and red, is one of my favoite color combinations.All in all, I had a great semester doing these projects and look forward to using the skills I have aquired here in the future.
