Where's my polling place?
For nearly 30 years I have advocated for justice, equality and fairness. My political accomplishments have allowed me to interact with officials in Chicago, Springfield, and Washington DC, a background in state and local government that has positioned me to represent, revive, reshape and renew the 20th ward. When elected as the new alderperson of the 20th ward, I will ensure that a new slate exists for all. I will hear and address your issues and concerns.
I will address the increasing violence in our community, the re-entry of ex-offenders, and domestic violence, and fight for justice throughout the criminal justice system. I will work in cooperation with state officials to lower crime in our community, I will monitor utility companies, and stand strong against political corruption. I will find solutions for youth unemployment and the lack of access to recreational facilities. I will provide adequate and reliable services for seniors and veterans. I will assist in finding the best local and citywide answers regarding gun control, the high rate of foreclosure and homelessness. I will expose unfair contracts and procurement discrimination. I will work hard to ensure policy alleviating poverty, educational and health care disparities. I will rebuild an effective system to support mothers, babies, youth and teens by monitoring the state and local facilities affiliated with our children, and most importantly of all, by listening to you.
Where leadership lacks vision the people perish. Love, hope and faith will conquer all. We must work together now to put an end to the old way of thinking. It is imperative that our state, city and ward be renewed and transformed now, as the very lives of our citizens depend upon it.
