60hour Darts Fundraiser
Testicular & Prostate Cancer
On December 4th 2009, 4 darts players will be taking part in a 60hour dartathon raising funds for orchid-cancer.org.uk.
2 players playing legs of 501 for 2 hours continuous then break for 2 hours, and swap over every 2 hours until we reach the 60 hour target we have set. The current record for this is 48hours.

Venue has been moved to The Englands Glory, and due to this has been put back a week, so will now be starting on the 4th Dec-6th Dec
A180 Darts, Diamond Darts have both donated shirts for each of the players.
Winmau have donated a BladeIII dartboard along with flights for the event.
WeLoveDarts have donated flights for the event.
We are still looking for more people to sponsor the event.

Orchid is the UK charity dedicated to fighting male cancers by funding research into the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of prostate and testicular cancer as well as promoting awareness and improving education about these often overlooked diseases.
Prostate cancer will affect 1 in 11 men in the UK this year and causes the death of one man every hour.
Testicular cancer is the biggest cancer risk for men between the ages of 15 and 45 and incidence of the disease is increasing.
Orchid funded research aims to understand the causes of prostate and testicular cancer, identify new diagnostic methods, trial new drug therapies, and improve surgical treatment.
About US...
As a team we have done several things darts wise for various charitys over the past 4 years.. from dressing up as santa claus and playing 12hours straight on christmas eve, to raising funds to help save the local playgroup.
