About Me
My love for photography started as a young boy, growing up in Yugoslavia. In the process of attempting to translate the manual of my fathers Kiev camera from Russian to Yugoslavian I also found myself learning how to use it and I was fascinated with the possibilities that this new toy presented. In the 90s, just when I was starting to get the hang of this amazing piece of equipment called a camera, civil war sent me on the road and interrupted all of my dreams.
Despite the misfortune of losing not just my home, but also my whole country I somehow found a silver lining. After leaving Sarajevo I found myself living in Toronto Canada, for a brief period where I had the fortuitous opportunity to work with another great photographer, Mir Lada, assisting in his studio, where I learned a great deal and had an opportunity to study not only the technical aspects of the art, but also the business of photography.
Continuing on since that time I have been even more fortunate to lead a life that has allowed me to travel the world, visiting amazing places and meeting remarkable people all of which I have managed to capture through the lens. After many years and many miles I met an incredible woman who proved to be a great companion and muse so I married her and together we found a magical place to call home: Vancouver.
It was a wonderful journey but there is nothing that makes me happier than living here, loving my wife and working hard.
