Acupuncture
Acupuncture is the ancient healing art of inserting very fine needles into specific points along pathways on the body to activate the Qi (vital energy). The flow of Qi can be disrupted by many ways, i.e. emotions, poor diet, overwork, trauma, stress, etc. Acupuncture acts to restore the natural flow of Qi bringing health back to the body, mind and spirit.
Herbal Medicine
Herbs are made up of leaves, stems, bark, roots or seeds. They each have a unique action. Cleverly combined together they perform a multitude of tasks and help bring a holistic balance back to the whole body.
Born in Korea and raised in the States, Daniel Min Carlson, holds dual degrees in Eastern and Western medicine, allowing him to deliver a balanced perspective in complementary health.
His background in clinical research enables him to look for contemporary applications of timeless traditional therapies.
This balance between East and West, traditional and
contemporary, brings the best of both worlds into a single modality of healing.
We believe in a patient centered experience, utilizing ancient healing arts including acupuncture, natural herbal tablets, moxibustion, cupping and more for effective healing results.
Formulated together with ancient theories on diet, lifestyle and adapting to our environment, a therapeutic healthcare management plan is created to optimize and enhance all aspects of living.

Acupuncture is the ancient healing art of inserting very fine needles into specific points along pathways on the body to activate the Qi (vital energy). The flow of Qi can be disrupted by many ways, i.e. emotions, poor diet, overwork, trauma, stress, etc.
Daniel understands that people are afraid of needles. For this reason, he uses the best quality acupuncture needles from Japan. This allows for a smooth insertion and minimizes the uncomfortable feeling.
All herbs are of the highest quality and are prescribed individually to meet each patients needs. There are many ways to take Chinese herbs such as in granule form or as small pills.
Cupping
Cupping is the placement of glass cups on specific areas of the body using a vacuum to move stagnant Qi (energy) and detoxify. It isnt painful and may leave a small mark on the body for a few days.
Moxibustion
Moxibustion is a special herb thats lit and placed above certain acupoints to draw heat into them. Moxibustion is not painful, just a little warm and is very effective for turning breech babies.
Acupressure
Acupressure is the ancient massage art form from China. It involves unique massage and manipulation techniques on tired, tense muscles as well as on specific acupuncture points and meridians.
Facial Rejuvenation
Also known as Cosmetic Acupuncture, Facial Rejuvenation acupuncture is a virtually painless, non-surgical method of reducing the signs of the aging process. The technique uses acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine to erase years off of the face. It helps the whole body look and feel younger by addressing the physical, mental and emotional patterns that cause disease and contribute to the aging process.
Gua Sha
Gua Sha is a special form of treatment that uses a jade or plastic comb to dredge the meridians. A special oil is applied to the area to help move blockages. It's used as a diagnostic tool as well as a form of treatment to remove blockages in the body. It isn't painful and may leave a small mark for 7 days before fading away.
Tui Na
Tui Na is an Oriental Bodywork Therapy that has been used in China for 2,000 years. Tuina (Tui Na) uses the traditional Chinese medical theory of the flow of Qi through the meridians as its basic therapeutic orientation.
Through the application of massage and manipulation techniques Tuina (Tui Na) seeks to establish a more harmonious flow of Qi through the system of channels and collaterals, allowing the body the naturally heal itself.
Auricular Acupuncture
Auricular acupuncture is one of the more widely used microsystems within eastern medicine. Microsystems use one aspect of the body - for example, the ears, hands or feet - to treat conditions that are present anywhere in the body. Auricular acupuncture may be used as a primary mode of treatment or in conjunction with other treatments such as acupuncture, bodywork or herbal medicine. Examples of other microsystems include reflexology and korean hand acupuncture.

“Two years ago I had very painful menstrual cramps and Pelvic Inflammatory Disease. Daniel treated me with acupuncture aand some herbal pills for 10 days. From that time on, I never have had any painful period and PID!
Two weeks ago I had bad allergy on my eyes, nose, and throat with a continuous sneezing, running nose, red eyes, itchiness, and general tiredness. Daniel prescribed 7 bags of herbs for one-week intake, which relieved most of my symptoms.

“ After having intermittent allergy-induced asthma over 20 years, I’ve found acupuncture has strengthened my immune system. As a result of acupuncture for the past 4 years, I’ve been free of emergency room visits and no asthma. I believe acupuncture and my medications have asthma under control and I’m healthy and fit. I’m blessed to have found Daniel”
